You do realise that pvper's have to earn the pet, and even then there's a huge chunk of luck involved too, to get the right drop. Or if you think pvp's easy, go win halls yourself.

As for pvp getting everything, a pve char can go to pve AND pvp. A pvp only char can't go to pve. And while the GH is awesome, if given the choice between a mini for my pvp char, or a wider selection of armour skins for my pvp char, I'd take the armour. I love kurzick armour for most classes, but if I want to wear it, I HAVE to make a pve char and then level it up and get all the attrib quests. And then to get all the skills and gear needed to be pvp ready... well thats a whole bundle of ecto right there. So don't think pvp has it all.

Never heard of Mallyx? He has a few greens worth an absolute fortune. Greens are PvE only. Mallyx's Reaver is probably the most valuable item in the game, not including the insanely rare skinned golds that only drop in HoH. Which is 'EXACTLY' where the ridiculously rare skinned items should drop, or they'd be over farmed/chest run and would cease to be 'ridiculously' rare.

I can't see people been all that bothered about it though if there are that few of them in existance. Some idiot will pay several million for the 'prestige' of having it but give it a few weeks and nobody will care.

Hmm? The HoH chest doesn't drop all "RARE" weapon skins?

Interesting. They get skins I can only ever get as greens. They get minipets I can only wish for. They get skills buffed/nerfed when needed. They get favor, which controls my playing.

And A-Net favors PvE?

For someone to win something through PvP, other people have to lose their chance at it. Not everyone wins Hoh. Beyond that, its rare enough that people that have been holding since the chest updates didn't even know it existed. The first one dropped recently. Besides, I'd have to pve for a Mallyx minipet. ZOMG, ITS SO UNFAIRRRRRR, I WANT TEH MALLYX.

Favor is pretty stupid though.

How long has this miniature been coded to spawn?
I'm just trying to see on a scale of how rare this thing is, but it seems it is the ONLY one in existence so I'll say that one spawning in 2 years is pretty rare.

I really don't care much about mini pets, they do nothing for the game beside looking pretty! I will never sell mine even if they are taking the place of a character as a mule, that I cannot play.
I'm happy for the people who get the special rare one and appreciate them not just for the value of the mini-pet!
Mini-pets are nice presents from ArenaNet and a good reward for players.

Haveing fun playing the game is the best thing for me!

I won't comment on the PvP vs PvE discussion; bad things will come of it.

But yeah...it would certainly be fun showing off a GH minipet to the Ghostly Hero in Amnoon...you gotta love these things Anet puts in the game for us.

Now, if only they would divulge the secret of the Dragon seal Gate and the glowing chest in Kaineng City. Has everyone forgotten about that already?

Almost all PvP players played PVE at some point, but many realized that PVE was limited and easy, they chose to move on to challenging competitive gameplay, instead of playing repetetive button mashing damagefests against static AI that does not adapt to what anyone does.

My advice to u is to sell it becos more and more mini ghost will appear and the value will slowly but surely drop. there are a lot of minipet collectors out there and i'm sure they are willing to pay a lot for it. U can show off for a day or two but u should definitely sell it.

PVP is the competitive part of this game, the part where humans fight humans and that's it. It has nothing to do with endgame. It's a playstyle just like pve is one. One person likes to play pvp, the other pve and someone else plays both.

Both genres have an endgame, for pve we have elite missions and stuff. HoH and gvg are endgame pvp occupations. Random arena and stuff are more the midgame pvp activities.

Anet caters to both pvp and pve segments of the market. Which seems to be a wise descision cause you can deny it but without pve this game would have a few less million copies sold. Oh btw I started out playing a lot of pvp but moved to pve only. Why? because I'm getting too old to compete with other poeple, too much stress. I like to coop with people now, so we can shoot the bulll sorta speak.

On topic: nice pet or should I say mini person. We have mini pets and mini peeps. Anyway, UW here I come again to farm some hundreds of ectos once more to get this little dude.

Cool pet! I hope they make mini Doppelgangers. That would be so cool! I'm nearly ready to PvP my Necro. I just need another set of armor and wands and focuses for each attribute(except Soul Reaping). Now that I know the kinds of cool stuff PvPers get maybe I'll get into it a bit more.
